Take the Poop

Last week, I spent several days in Manhattan, enjoying seeing the sights, all the people, and the many, many adorable dogs. What I did not see, despite the number of people and pets, and which I see here all the time, were dog poop bags left next to curbs, hedges, trees, sign posts, etc. — everywhere they don’t belong. What is going on?

If you’re one of the slobs doing this, let me ask how you’d like finding a pile of bags next to your fence or hedge? Or is it impossible for you to think beyond your own bizarre needs?

I wish I could attach a photo I took of a pile of 10 to 12 bags left beside a fence on our street here in the village. Be warned: Several people on our block are on the lookout for the scofflaw or scofflaws who are responsible so we can remind them about basic consideration, sanitation, and respect for property and for Mother Earth.
