The Southampton Pickleball Club hosted its third annual Heart of the Hamptons Tournament on Sunday at SYS in support of the local food pantry that serves Southampton Village and the surrounding area.

Vinny Mangano, who heads Southampton Pickleball Club and is an East End pickleball ambassador as well, said the tournament was another great success due to the many volunteers who helped. He thanked Kerry Calvert for putting together the T-shirts, raffles and registration link. And he thanked Scott Johnson and his staff at SYS.

Mangano also thanked his wife, Sally Mangano, along with Michelle Reilly, Aileen Stephens, Frank Taglivia, Town Supervisor Jay Schneiderman, Joe Lombardo and the many others who came on Saturday afternoon to help set up and those who stayed late to help clean up.

“Many hands make for light work,” Vinny Mangano said.

An official amount raised for Heart of the Hamptons wasn’t tallied by press time, but Mangano is expecting to net at least $12,500, which would be a significant increase over previous years and a huge boon for the pantry heading into its busiest and neediest time of the year.

“I believe this event offers everyone the opportunity to have fun playing the game we love and raise funds for our local food pantry,” Mangano said.

He also said everyone who played or helped out was a winner, but everyone also competed, so here are the winners of each bracket:

WOMEN’S DOUBLES NOVICE: Felicia Grumet and Emily Gibert

WOMEN’S DOUBLES 3.5+: Adriana Melittas and Jacqui Garland

MIXED DOUBLES NOVICE: Jordan Fogel and Marilyn Stevenson

MIXED DOUBLES 3.5+ #1: Larry Citarelli and Emma Citarelli

MIXED DOUBLES 3.5+ #2: Paul Haskin and Stacey Locker

MENS DOUBLES 3.5+: Lawrence LaRose and Eddie Aiduck
