Thomas R. Andrews of Southampton died on August 27 at Southampton Hospital, surrounded by his loved ones. He was 66.
He was born on May 28,1956 in Brooklyn, to Joseph and Helen (Gryzbowski) Andrews. He grew up in Bridgehampton, and later moved to Southampton. He graduated from Southampton High School.
Andrews was a self-employed carpenter, a man who could build anything, according to his family. He was known for his love of sports cars and racing. Anybody who knew him, according to his family, would share endless memories of him. Hand him an instrument and he would sing you a tune. He was funny, hard working, and always welcomed everyone in with open arms and endless stories.
He was predeceased by his parents; and his brothers Joseph and Richard. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Tracy Schreiber Andrews; his daughter, Lindsey; daughter Kristy and her husband Rajiv Wright and granddaughter Ahmyri Wright; and son RJ; his sister, Lorraine Stachecki (Chuck); several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life was held on September 2 at the Brockett Funeral Home in Southampton, as well as on September 3 at North Sea Community House.
