Thomas Sundberg Of Hampton Bays Dies September 18

Thomas Frank Sundberg of Hampton Bays died September 18. He was 49.

Born April 12, 1963, Mr. Sundberg, known as “Tommy” to friends and family, was originally from Carle Place and the proprietor of Shinnecock Electric in Southampton. An avid golfer, he recently became a motorcycle enthusiast. He was a loving father devoted to and proud of his four children, survivors said.

Mr. Sundberg is survived by his parents, Connie and Robert Sundberg; three brothers, Robert, Edward and Brian Sundberg; a sister, Donna D’Addio; his son, Thomas (T.J.) Sundberg, and daughter, Jordan Sundberg, and their mother, Theresa; and his daughters Meghan Sundberg and Kathleen Sundberg, and their mother, Kathleen Charla.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of O’Connell Funeral Home in Southampton. A wake was held Friday, September 21, and a funeral Mass followed on Saturday, September 22, at the Basilica of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary in Southampton.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Thomas Sundberg Memorial Building Fund at Our Lady of The Hamptons Roman Catholic School, 160 North Main Street, Southampton, NY 11968, Attention: Sister Kathy.
