A paramedic attempting to treat a Speonk man who was highly intoxicated suffered a broken nose after the man head-butted him on Monday afternoon. Last month, Governor Kathy Hochul proposed a $252 billion New York State budget for the 2025-26 fiscal year. As is the case with any state budget, her proposal contains thousands of appropriations and hundreds of proposals for the operation of the state. Her proposal will be reviewed by the State Legislature, leading to a state budget around April 1. The work he did to get the speed limit sign up and then reinstalled in a location that should keep the cars heading east going slower than they have been is remarkable.
