Update: Westbound Lanes Of County Road 39 Reopen

Update

The westbound lanes of County Road 19 reopened at 6:15 p.m.

All lanes of County Road 39 are closed due to a two-vehicle accident near Tuckahoe Lane that included one vehicle hitting a utility pole, knocking out electricity in the area.

The accident occurred after 5 p.m. on Friday during the height of the evening commute.

Minor injuries were reported, according to Southampton Town Police Lieutenant Susan Ralph.

Martin Calieca-Cruz, 33, of Southampton was arrested by Quogue Village Police on November 15 and charged with misdemeanor DWI. Cruz was pulled over at 8:01 p.m. on Quogue Plaza Trail after being observed failing to stop at a stop sign, failing to maintain his lane, and driving 46 mph in a 25-mph zone on Old Country Road, police said, adding that an investigation revealed he was intoxicated.
