Job Well Done

Now that this year’s election cycle is finally over, I would like to take a little time to publicly thank one of the most dedicated public officials that has represented the citizens of the East End, the 1st District assemblyman, Fred Thiele. Fred is retiring from elected office, first as a Suffolk County legislator, then Southampton Town supervisor, and finally as a member of the Assembly, where he spent 30 successful years. The impact of his work will be celebrated for generations to come. I first met Fred in the late 1970s, when he was working for Assemblyman John Behan. ... 18 Nov 2024 by Staff Writer

By Far the Worst

Donald Trump’s nominees to lead important cabinet posts — Robert Kennedy Jr. (secretary of Health and Human Services), Matt Gaetz (attorney general), Tulsi Gabbard (director, Office of National Intelligence), Pete Hegseth (secretary, Department of Defense) and Lee Zeldin (secretary, Environmental Protection Agency), otherwise known as the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse Plus One — are by far the worst nominees ever selected to head cabinet-level positions. Robert Kennedy Jr. is a purveyor of vaccine falsehoods and various health conditions. Among other things, he’s claimed vaccines cause autism, anti-depressants cause mass shootings, and suggested that HIV doesn’t cause AIDS. He is ... by Staff Writer

Admirable Response

At about 10:15 p.m. on Friday, November 8, the wind blew down a tree across the street. The tree knocked down the electric pole, and an electric fire started. The response was very fast and professional, from the calming 911 operator (I am sorry I did not get her name) to the fire department and PSEG. The Southampton Police Department was first on the scene and blocked off the area of the fire. The firemen explained that they had to wait for power to be turned off before putting out the fire. After the fire was out, PSEG worked during ... by Staff Writer

God at Work

Let’s start with the media, as it has been said that 90 percent sound pro-socialist, communist, atheist, antagonist and uninformed of the truth. Five percent are real journalists and know the “5 W’s” — who, what, when, where, why — and live up to their oath and abide with our Constitution of the United States. This election, the people’s voice was heard. It is my belief that the hand of God, at the rally July 13 in Pennsylvania, showed the people that President Donald Trump is his warrior, the David and Goliath of the 21st century, and his first term, ... by Staff Writer

What's Different?

Democrats, awakened from their stupor by their stunning trifecta defeat at the polls, are now processing what went so wrong and how all those “garbage” “deplorables” managed to take control. Surely we, as a nation, are descending down a spiraling path of iniquity only the liberal elites can save us from! Authoritarianism, fascism and the demise of democracy is at our doorsteps. Eight years of liberal lawfare, judicial overreach and their propaganda machine known as the mainstream media all failed to save our nation. Pressure from the FBI on social media to censor whatever did not comply with their party’s ... by Staff Writer
