Vincina “Viv” Castantine of Sag Harbor died on July 3. She was 89.

Ms. Castantine died with her daughter Deborah by her side. She was born to Italian immigrant parents, her father Angelo Liberti and her mother Josephine Guido Liberti, who both predeceased her.

Ms. Castantine worked as a bookkeeper at Bulova Watch Company for 32 years, after which she worked as a bookkeeper for 20 years at the Forst and Silverblank construction company.

She loved to travel and did so frequently with her daughter. Ms. Castantine also loved to garden and spent a lot of her time relaxing in her yard, her family recalled. She loved family functions and get-togethers, her family said, but her favorite was Christmas. Vivian was loved by so many and touched so many lives, her family said, and she will be sorely missed.

In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband Tom of over 30 years, her brother Angelo, and her sisters Grace and Florence.

She is survived by her only child Deborah and her son-in-law John Van Dood; several nieces and nephews; great-grandnephews; grandnieces; and one great-grandniece.
