Virginia “Ginger” McEvoy of Westhampton Beach died on July 8 surrounded by the love of her family and the care of East End Hospice. She was 83.

Ms. McEvoy was an astrologer, hairdresser and retail manager throughout her life. She was spiritual, loving and compassionate, and if you were lucky enough to have known her, you would have certainly been touched by her many gifts, her family said.

Ms. McEvoy is survived by her four children: Daren McEvoy of New York, Debra Wrye of North Carolina, Ed Bishal of North Carolina, and Nicole Lecuit of New York; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be held on Friday, July 16, at 3 p.m. at St. Mark’s Church in Westhampton Beach.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to East End Hospice, P.O. Box 1048, Westhampton Beach, NY 11978.
