Glow Night Coming to SYS

The Southampton Youth Bureau is offering another session of its popular Lights Out! Glow Night, a fun evening of glow-in-the-dark sports, on Friday, December 6, from 7:30 to 10 p.m. at Southampton Youth Services, 1370A Majors Path in Southampton. The “illuminated experience” will feature a lineup of games like glow-in-the-dark basketball, capture the flag, soccer, volleyball, and more for students in grades six through 12. Town To Offer Lifeguard Training

The Town of Southampton Parks and Recreation Department is offering an opportunity for residents to train to become a lifeguard. In the lifeguard training program, participants will develop valuable skills that will last a lifetime. Those who complete the course and earn certification are eligible for employment at a town bay beach. The course begins January 7 at the Suffolk Community College Eastern Campus pool and continues for seven sessions. Ocean beach lifeguards will require additional training hours.
