Even though only two people and spammers call my land line, I refuse to part with it. I have lived in the same house that I built 49 years ago. My hair is short, as it has been for most of my life. April is Parkinson’s Disease Awareness Month. American Parkinson Disease Association will commemorate the month with a “Did You Know?” campaign that will educate the public about Parkinson’s disease, highlighting everything from statistics and symptoms to personal stories and ways to get involved, while also helping those affected by Parkinson’s disease to feel empowered with the resources and support they need. The Retreat’s Stephanie House Shelter is in need of basic items to help serve its clients. The shelter provides a safe haven and critical resources for survivors of domestic violence. Among the items need are clothing, toiletries, and school and kitchen supplies.
