To the voters of the Town of Southampton:
I want to take this opportunity to thank Southampton voters for flipping their ballot over and passing Proposition 3. This referendum was crucial to our continued cleanup of Lake Agawam, as it allows us to place algae harvesters behind the Jobs Lane parking lot that will filter and clean 3 million gallons of the water per day.
The referendum provided for a land swap that also creates a large parcel of permanent parkland overlooking the lake, making this a win-win for all residents of beautiful Southampton.
A sincere thank you from the Village Board and myself.
Bill Manger
Mayor
