Honor Flight Long Island’s fall flight to Washington, D.C. is set for Saturday, October 5. It will take 46 Long Island veterans to visit their respective military memorials, meet with service branch representatives, commiserate with fellow veterans and exchange stories. CMEE To Host 'Totally Taylor' Tribute Concert

The Children’s Museum of the East End will host its first-ever tribute concert Saturday, September 28, with New York’s number one Taylor Tribute act, Elizabeth Edquist. The event starts at 9:30 a.m. with Swift-themed crafts and the concert will begin promptly at 10 a.m. featuring 45 minutes of Swift’s greatest hits. Families with children ages 2 and up are invited to attend. Crafts will include friendship bracelets and DIY sunglasses. Shelter Island Fall 5K Will Benefit Breast Health Organizations

The annual Shelter Island 5K Run/Walk in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month will take place Saturday, October 19, at 11 a.m., rain or shine at Crescent Beach. Preregistration will be $45 for both walkers and runners, kids 12-and-under are $25. Day of registration will cost $50 for both walkers and runners and $30 for kids 12-and-under.
